l. PowerPoint Class: History of American Combat Nurses During WW II.
This course will detail the immense courage and extreme fortitude that combat nurses faced in the Army,
War was raging in 5 theaters where the Army nurses were ordered to go. These dedicated, strong women practiced the nursing skills on troop ships, trains, planes and even in an underground hospital. A group of 67 nurses were captured by the Japanese and lived in an interment camp for 3 years. The White nurses as well as the Black nurses worked in jungle hospitals and both races had similar hardships performing their jobs however the Black nurses had the added impediments of the Jim Crow laws and discrimination.

5. PowerPoint Class: History of Women War Correspondents During WW II Part Two
There were 127 brave WW II female war correspondents, who went above and beyond to capture the events of the war to inform the people on the home front.
These women fought against condemnation and hostility from male officers in order to perform their jobs.
Many of the women correspondents risked their lives and went behind enemy lines to get “the Scoop.”
